The Brief
Shaping Light, Layering Luxury

Ademchic reimagines a new build into a home of proportion, warmth and prestige — a residence where daylight, detail and drama redefine luxury.

“It had height, light and space, but it didn’t have identity,” explains Karolina Adamczyk, founder of Ademchic. “We set ourselves a challenge: how could we transform a developer-standard shell into a prestigious residence, one that feels both luxurious and cosy?”

For nine years, Ademchic has specialised in helping developers create interiors that sell faster and at higher value. In 2025, the studio has opened its doors to private homeowners too, applying the same strategic design approach to projects that demand individuality as well as investment return.

Our Approach

Daylight as Design Currency

This home’s original proportions were generous, yet detail was lacking. The team began by treating daylight as design currency. They suggested opening external walls to flood the interior with natural light, and extending windows floor-to-ceiling for seamless views. “Proportion is one of the simplest ways to create a sense of luxury,” says Karolina.

Once the architecture details were refined, the interiors became a canvas for texture, rhythm and character. Calming herringbone floors were proposed to run throughout, while exposed ceiling beams break up expanses of the ceiling with deliberate geometry. Arched openings and layered lighting were recommended for drama, ensuring every angle offers visual depth.

Strength Meets Softness

The palette was developed to balance strength with softness. Sculptural seating was proposed in tactile velvets and linens; patterned fabrics were introduced in restrained doses for punctuation. “We pushed beyond the Pinterest-perfect look to create something distinctive,” Karolina notes.

Asymmetry defines the open-plan space: a sweeping olive-hued sofa anchors the seating area, while patterned armchairs add playfulness. Large Crittall-style doors frame garden views, with sheer drapery softening the transition.

“We wanted it to feel like a home that belongs to both worlds — refined enough for entertaining, but warm enough to really live in,” says Karolina.

The Kitchen

The Heart of the Home

The kitchen was imagined as the project’s focal point. A travertine island pairs with dark walnut cabinetry and brushed brass details, creating contrast while keeping the palette cohesive. In the dining area, a long marble-topped table with curved-back chairs sits beneath a geometric pendant, bold yet understated.

A sculptural travertine island was envisioned at the heart of the space, paired with bespoke dark oak cabinetry. Brass accents and concealed lighting were specified to add refinement, while full-height storage was designed to provide order and sense of scale.

The Transformation

From New Build to Boutique Residence

A property once labelled ‘predictable new build’, now recast conceptually as a boutique residence. Luxurious yet practical, it embodies the studio’s philosophy: that interiors, when considered at architectural scale, can elevate both lifestyle and long-term value.
